What our server records
Like every website, our hosting server keeps standard access logs: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are deleted on the hosting provider's normal schedule.
“Popular this week”
When a channel starts playing, we add one to that channel's anonymous view count. The count contains no information about you. A short-lived session cookie makes sure the same view is not counted twice; it is deleted when you close your browser.
What stays on your device
Teleora saves a few settings in your browser's local storage, such as your volume level and whether you set up the VLC button. It also keeps a copy of the site's own files so pages load faster. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Third-party servers
When you play a channel, your browser or VLC connects directly to the server that provides that stream, and channel logos load from the servers that host them. Those servers can see your IP address and are run under their own privacy policies. Teleora does not control them.
TV guide
Programme schedules are built from public TV listings by an automated job on GitHub and downloaded by our server. Your browser does not contact GitHub, and no information about you is sent to build the guide.
The VLC connector
The optional VLC connector runs only on your computer. It passes the channel you choose to VLC and sends nothing to Teleora.
When you email us
If you email contact@teleora.cc, we use your message and email address only to reply and handle your request, and keep them only as long as needed for that.
Children
Teleora is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
